The Massachusetts teacher at the center of controversy for showing an Eminem video to her students has resigned. Sarah L. Jordan received several complaints for showing Eminem’s video for “Superman” to her seventh grade students. She was investigated by police for the incident.
Jordan was originally suspended for two weeks with pay from Sarah W. Gibbons Middle School in Westboro; but the 48-year old has now decided to resign due to embarrassment she says she caused to others.
It should be noted that the police dropped their investigation after determining that no wrongdoing had occurred.

An Eminem video has gotten a teacher in Westboro, Massachusetts suspended. The teacher at Gibbons Middle School showed an Eminem video to her class during a media analysis lesson.
There was no nudity, but the video caused enough concern that a parent complained to police. The teacher was subsequently suspended and police are investigating her. She’s worked at Gibbons Middle School for 10 years.
“This was during a media analysis section,” Westboro School Superintendent Marianne O’Connor told the Boston Herald. “There were a couple of clips, movie clips, or video clips that may have been inappropriate. We’re finding out now, that we have interviewed students, that it had no nudity.”
