”The Amount of Hits On That Is Nuts”

Superproducer and former Cash Money Records hitmaker Mannie Fresh is hard at work prepping the comeback album for fellow New Orleans native, rapper Mystikal. Mystikal was released from prison in January after serving 6 years for sexual battery and extortion, he also received an additional year for tax evasion which he served concurrently. This would be the former chart-topper’s first album since 2001′s Tarantula.

But according to Fresh, the album they’re working on will not disappoint.

“The amount of hits on that is nuts, because we were just sitting in the car vibing,” Fresh said in an interview. “I was just going through beats, and he was rapping on it, and I’m trying to convince him [that] I think that would be his mixtape…I think we should go through the songs that everybody liked, put that out as free music then do the album. I am pushing for that.”

Chris Brown and West Coast oddball rap collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All engaged in a heated war of words on Twitter today (June 17th.) The singer and Odd Future affiliates Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean began going back and forth after Brown tweeted what seemed to be a compliment to Ocean.

“I f**k wit Frank Ocean! Reminds me of a young James Fauntleroy or Kevin Cossum,” Brown tweeted, to which Ocean countered: “i f**ks wit chris brown, reminds me of a young sisqo or ike turner.”

Ocean apparently interpreted Brown’s tweet as a backhanded compliment. “I don’t like underhanded comments,” Ocean tweeted.

From there, things just escalated.

“@frank_ocean it was a compliment you bitch ass n***a,” Brown tweeted. “Everybody claim to be the devil till they meet him.”

Tyler, the Creator then joined the fray. “What’s Wrong Christopher? Amber Rose Stole Your Style Bro Bro?” Tyler tweeted. “@chrisbrown Why Are You Mad Tho? Like Really, You’re Bigger Than Us Christopher. You Act Like You Like To Eat Soup, Aren’t You A Role Model?”

“F**k odd future! Make sure y’all smalltime n***as stick yo chess out when u speak to me,” Brown continued ranting. “I’ma shut up now! I ain’t wit all this talking bullsh*t! I ain’t hard to find. Y’all n***as know my face.”

“@chrisbrown Coming From The Yellow RnB N***a That Had 3 Bodyguards………By The Way, We Was In San Diego Christopher,” Tyler replied.

“I never said one thing about y’all n***as and y’all started this!” Brown continued. “To all my fans, I’m sorry these ignorant ass n***as got me down to their level.”

Everyone from The Game to Chuck Inglish of the Cool Kids chimed in to tell the two parties to stop feuding. Which they eventually did.

For some strange reason, Ice-T and Coco can’t get enough of Nicki Minaj’s butt. At least, they can’t seem to stop talking about it. After Coco claimed to ‘know’ that Minaj’s famous rump was surgically-enhanced, Ice-T shared his thoughts on the most famous booty in music and the attention it gets.

“I mean, you know, at the end of the day, people are gonna talk about whatever you look like, whatever you’re doing, whatever you wear and so I guess with Nicki, she’s saying whatever keeps her on the tip of your tongue, that’s all that matters,” Ice-T told SOHH. “You know? Coco’s got a real booty. So, you know, Coco’s got a real booty.”

Rapper Spotted Sporting A Curl

Fans and media were a little surprised when photos popped up online of rapper 50 Cent sporting a Bishop Eddie Long-esque curl. The Queens native hasn’t given an explanation as to why he changed his look, but everyone is speculating that it could be for a movie role or part of 50′s ongoing campaign to draw as much attention to himself as possible.

He’s lost weight and sported a jheri curl for previous movie roles.

Global Grind wrote: “Not sure if it was the glistening sun, but it looks like there may have been a few light brown highlights in there too.”

Actress Jada Pinkett Smith recently opened up about working with Jay-Z on the forthcoming Annie remake. The film will star Smith’s daughter, Willow, and Jay-Z is producing the project alongside Jada and her husband, Oscar-nominated actor Will Smith.

“He’s very professional, he’s a good partner, and we are about to do a movie with him, the Annie joint with Willow,” she says. “So he’s a good partner…You know, we just have great teams and we have great partnership. It’s all about partnering. And that’s the thing that I’ve learned about being in this business. You can’t expect to do great things by yourself that you have to be able to partner up with people.”
