Kelis Hit With Lawsuit

R&B singer Kelis is facing a lawsuit filed by a talent agency that accuses the star of failing to pay for ‘goods and services,’ including performances that were booked on major television shows like “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Today Show,” and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”

The plaintiff, listed as Drive Talent Agency, claims they are owed $11, 817.91. Drive was hired by Kelis and her management during the spring and summer of this year. They also claim that not only did they work with Kelis on the aforementioned talk shows, but also on several appearances in Europe.
The agency says that Kelis failed to reimburse them in full after her label Interscope paid her. The agency is allegedly owed reimbursements for travel, labor and production items.

Amber Rose & Amar'e?

Model Amber Rose has been affiliated with any number of male celebrities since her breakup with rapper Kanye West earlier this year. The latest man to be tied to the volutuptous vixen is Knicks All-Star forward Amar’e Stoudemire.

Stoudemire and Rose were spotted together at Cafeteria in New York following the Knicks game. And Amber Rose has turned up courtside at the past two Knicks home games. Both were incognito–sporting dark shades, and Stoudemire had a hoodie pulled over his head. But there aren’t many people more recognizable than Rose–and Stoudemire’s six-foot-ten, so–good luck hiding, buddy.

Keyshia Cole On Family Troubles:

R&B star Keyshia Cole opened up about her family squabbles and her well-documented estrangement from them during a recent appearance on Atlanta’s V-103. Cole admitted that she still loves her family, but doesn’t know how to repair the damage that has been done to their relationship.

“The last thing I would want is to mess up someone’s character as a person but what we have going on behind closed doors is a whole ‘nother thing,” Cole explained. “A lot of my life has been viewed in the public eye. Everybody knows I really didn’t want them to do the show because I felt like if I wasn’t involved, some things were going to be out in the open that really shouldn’t.

When we did [the initial reality show] “The Way It Is”, I tried to make sure that I allowed them to be them but that we would only displayed certain things [so you could] still tell that they are growing and that they are trying. I just don’t think the last show displayed that too much.”

“I love the fact that they did the ‘Frankie and Neffe’ show,” she continued. “I loved the fact that they had that opportunity. There are so many kids out there watching that see me as an artist and this is where I come from. This is my biological family and I just wanted them viewed in the best light that they could. That was my main objective. I was boxed out of the loop and that is why it happened the way it happened. Once everything blew up it was like ‘aww man, we made a mistake.’”

“To me, it hurt,” Cole added. “I brought ya’ll here and I loved ya’ll with everything that I had but it hurt that you wouldn’t trust me enough to have your best interest at heart.”

Cole still doesn’t know if she’ll ever be able to repair the relationship with her mother and sister. “I’m not a hater. I want everyone to be successful and learn as much in life as they can,” she said. “I miss my family. I genuinely miss them. Especially my sister. I miss being able to call on my family and miss that bond. At this point, it’s kind of broke because I don’t know how to accept that. I’ve been praying and asking God to give me wisdom on that situation but that is the only reason why I’d [have a relationship with my family again.] I’ve spoken to Neffe, I speak to my mom and Elite. It’s not that I don’t forgive them, I just don’t know how to step back into that mode after what has happened. I don’t know how to deal with it. I’m here and I love them and I’ll do what I can as far as helping them out but as far as the bond right now, it’s kind of broken.”

T.I.'s Thanks Fans For Buying Album

Issuing his second letter since returning to prison, T.I. thanked his fans for supporting his latest album, No Mercy. The album debuted at #4 on the Billboard charts, and T.I. said he appreciates the feedback, positive and negative, he has received from fans.

“I love hearing your opinions on what songs you like most for the next singles,” the rapper said. “We are taking all of them into consideration as we decide right now on which direction to head in. I know this seems like an unfortunate set of circumstances to endure for a career with so much potential but remember adversity builds character and character takes you places money can’t. I know what’s in store for me in the future so I ain’t trippin’ and neither should you. For now all my love and best wishes to you and yours for the holidays. Y’all hold it down out there and I’ll do the same in here. And continue to spread the word about No Mercy & Team T.I.”

Warrant Issued For Floyd Mayweather?

A Las Vegas judge has issued a warrant for Floyd Mayweather’s arrest, stemming from the boxer’s previous battery charge for allegedly poking a security guard in the face last month. According to TMZ, the judge originally issued — and then recalled — the warrant after a hearing on December 7.

The prosecution complained that Mayweather received preferential treatment, which resulted in the warrant being reissued.

In November, security guard Shayne Smith claimed Mayweather poked him in the face after Smith issued two parking tickets outside of his own home in Vegas. The boxer faces six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted.
